DOTM Topspin

Dark of the Moon - When I was a kid, I use to have Topspin. I don't realize it until I watch the original mold and the advert on Youtube. I don't remember either I bought the original one or the KO version. Anyway, Topspin is very hard to find in Brunei and very sought off by collectors. He is one of the Wreckers in Dark of the Moon. The one that does not speak much like the rest. I bought this figure at Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Quite far right? To those who collect the DOTM The Wreckers, Topspin is a must. There is also a Human Alliance version. But I won't talk about that as I would love to review this deluxe version instead.

DOTM Darksteel

Dark of the Moon - Darksteel, an odd looking Decepticon. Either he is a snake or some sort of ancient mythical Egyptian god. Anyway, he is actually plan to be named as Quickstrike from the Beast War era but somehow he ended up using the name Darksteel. Honestly, I hate repaint but luckily, Darksteel has a different head sculpt and making him unique to me just like Dead End. He is a retool mold from DOTM Sideswipe and has a very nice and good quality paint job compared to Sideswipe.

DOTM Megatron

Dark of the Moon - I am back. I am on hiatus on Gundam for a while since this December is a busy month for me. Early this month itself, there are a lot of wedding going on and a lot of wedding assignment. Anyway, I managed to take a photos of Dark of The Moon Megatron and will review it. I have bought this since a very long time. Even before I bought Shockwave. But I never managed to review it (the same with ROTF Takara Tomy Optimus Prime). I was too distracted with all the things happening around me. But now, I am back. First of all, I would like to apologize to the reader for the long hiatus. And the new black backdrop does not seems to fit very well than my previous white backdrop. Now here is what I think about DOTM Megatron.

Mudflap

Dark of the Moon - Another annoying character from the Micheal Bay movie. Luckily, both of the twins does not appear at all (except for their vehicle mode entering the NEST headquarter on the first half of the movie) and making the movie watchable again. The both of them was the Jar Jar Bink of Transformers. For those who knows the Cybertron toyline, Mudflap was originally a Decepticon. Well somehow, he had a twin annoying brother in Revenge of The Fallen and thus become an Autobot instead. I guess it is just not Mudflap in the movie who is annoying. Even this figure, I really consider it very annoying indeed.

Skyhammer

Dark of the Moon - During the Power Core era, Skyhammer was a Decepticon. Now in Dark of the Moon franchise, he turn out to be an Autobot. Much like Mudflap in the 2007 Transformers who turn side. But that turn out to be Hasbro decision to label their product who ever they wish. Anyway, Skyhammer did not appeared in the movie and I am not sure whether he appeared in the comic book prequel itself. But he is rather a very unique Autobot and his voyager sculpt is really nice.

Starscream

Dark of the Moon - Starscream, the most brilliant and the most treacherous Decepticon that ever lived. He depicts himself as superior than Megatron but died when that Malcolm in the Middle kid poke his eye with a sort of grapple gadget. I owned a leader class Starscream but had a long thoughts before buying his deluxe figure. It was Thundercracker that made me bought him as I wanted to collect Dark of the Moon edition of the Seekers. Currently in Japan, there are another repaint version of Starscream and labeled as Skywarp. Hope it will come to Brunei soon.

Sideswipe Transformation

Sideswipe

Dark of the Moon - Sideswipe is another one of my favorite character in the Transformers universe. He became a cool open roof Corvette Stingray Concept in Dark of the Moon. I really felt that he was thee coolest character in the movie universe. I have kept an eye for him for almost a month. I even asked one of my colleague to buy me a Dark of the Moon Sideswipe in Miri, Sarawak. She did bought me Sideswipe but the scan version. Luckily, new shipment came to Bebeland and that includes Sideswipe. I bought him but unfortunately I wasn't that happy that I should be. Why?

Laserbeak

Dark of the Moon - Remember the time when Laserbeak was a small bird that transform into one of Soundwave cassette? Well in Dark of the Moon movie, he became a one big turkey with an attitude. His role in the movie were quite mischievous compared to Ravage (poor kitty cat). And best of all, he talks! Anyway, his vehicle mode won't be a laser printer or something; but he does have a quite nice vehicle mode.

Barricade

Dark of the Moon - Barricade, he is consider MIA in Revenge of the Fallen. But he appeared back in Dark of the Moon. So where is he during the Egyptian incident? Maybe he is looking for Megatron's body or something. Anyway, to me his vehicle mode always the coolest amongst the Decepticon land vehicle. Love the insignia 'To Punish and Enslave'. Really stick to Decepticon harsh principle. Anyway, he is back but how does he fare with former figure? Well just read on.

Shockwave

Dark of the Moon - Shockwave, either you love him or hate him. I love his wicked evil figure but hate his one liner in the movie. "OPTIMUS!" *period*. That is all he can say when he met with Optimus Prime at the Chernobyl disaster site. Evil he may be but he is one of the coolest character in Decepticon rank and the most trusted by Megatron himself. Unluckily, in the movie; instead of guarding Cybertron, he went to war with the other Decepticon (and died). But he lives forever as a toy and I really love his wicked design.

Skids

Dark of the Moon - One of the ugly twin from the second Micheal Bay Transformers movie, Revenge of the Fallen. Much like Q or Wheeljack in Dark of the Moon, Skids got an ugly head sculpt. I wish he were more like Bumblebee or make him more normal than with a big teeth, big ear, lousy left eye and small head with a big body. Why I even bother to buy him in the first place? Well, you will have to read the rest of my post to find out.

Thunderhead with Major Tungsten

Dark of the Moon - Another one of the Human Alliance basic scout class figure. There were a lot of Dark of the Moon scout class but a lot of them was rather not interesting. But I think I will buy the current wave, Spike Witwicky and Backfire end of this month. For now, I really like this one. It is Thunderhead with Major Tungsten. Thunderhead does not have a weapon mode but he does have a cool feature that other of his class does not have.

Ratchet

Dark of The Moon - Ratchet, the medical specialist and a highly respected Cybertron scientist. He is also known in the animated series as a decorated war hero much like Sergeant Kup. At first, I was not too keen in buying this figure as I still prefer the 2007 Transformers Rachet . But it is slightly better than the RoTF Ratchet . He look like a mean green Humvee machine. But after watching some of the reviewer out there, I guess it is not that bad. It is quite a very detailed figure indeed.

Roadbuster

Dark of The Moon - One of the outstanding members of The Wreckers. And he speaks with a Scottish accents? When I was a kid, I used to own him and at that time, I really have no idea who he is... Until now. This is a deluxe model of Roadbuster and I wish to buy its Human Alliance figure as soon as it hit shelves. That one is a must buy figure. For now, this deluxe model is good enough for me.

Icepick with Sergeant Chaos

Dark of The Moon - Remember the movie where human is working with Decepticon? Well, this is my first Human Alliance figure. I am not really keen in buying Human Alliance during Revenge of The Fallen as it was so expensive. But this one is really different than those figure that I mentioned. This one is really cheap and consider a scout class. The best thing is that these figure can became a special weapon. Maybe that is why it is called as MechTech.

Crankcase

Dark of the Moon - My first review on one of my Dark of the Moon toys - Crankcase. I have bought Megatron before and I have not review that toy yet. I was skeptical in buying Crankcase but he does looks pretty awesome. Even after watching the Dreads on the movie itself. I felt so amazed with their transformation and physical appearance. They look so evil and dreaded. But that was the movie. The toy are also awesome and almost identical to the movie (luckily I did not bought Ratchet).
