Thunderhead with Major Tungsten

Dark of the Moon - Another one of the Human Alliance basic scout class figure. There were a lot of Dark of the Moon scout class but a lot of them was rather not interesting. But I think I will buy the current wave, Spike Witwicky and Backfire end of this month. For now, I really like this one. It is Thunderhead with Major Tungsten. Thunderhead does not have a weapon mode but he does have a cool feature that other of his class does not have.

Bio

Everything THUNDERHEAD does, he does loud. As an artillery commander, he is an expert at raining down fire on enemies hundreds of miles away. His partnership with Major Tungsten is easy - both of them are loud, and more than happy to drop a storm of explosive shells on the heads of unsuspecting DECEPTICONS. With three modes to choose from, these heroic partners have many options against the DECEPTICON forces. Switch into vehicle mode, sit your Major Tungsten figure on top, and send them into battle. Or let your Major Tungsten figure take refuge behind his mechanical friend when he's in robot mode.

Vehicle Mode with human allies

The vehicle mode looks something from a Star Wars movie or a Ghost in a Shell Mech. Really reminds me of Star Wars Episode III a lot. Everything about the vehicle mode is almost perfect except for his seat. It is too far across and Major Tungsten is too short. With many other Dark of the Moon Human Alliance human figure; he had a hole on the back. This is to ensure that the transport can support without the use of other mechanism such as seat belt or glue. That is why it is too far away and he (human) can't even sit right.

Alternate Mode

Thunderhead looks amazing. With highly detailed sculpt and paint. He looks pretty amazing. The mounted gun on the vehicle mode, can be removed and transferred as his rifle in this mode. The only thing I really dislike, was that his hand cannot rotate to a degree that he is holding a weapon. It felt that he is holding the rifle on his side. I think you have to be clever and creative in taking the shot. Unluckily, he is not highly pose able like many other scout class. But its was really OK for me as he looks really amazing.

Weapon Mode (MechSuit)

Remember Macross and the movie Aliens? This mode really reminds me the crossover between Macross and the mech in Aliens. The only thing I really dislike was; like his alternate mode - his hand. But other than that, COOL! Major Tungsten fits right into the cockpit and makes him and even Thunderhead look even awesome. This is why I bought Thunderhead in the first place. It looks amazing and his triple change is really great!
