He was formerly known as Hot Rod and was change to Rodimus due to legal reason. He is the successor of Optimus Prime and fans blame his reckless action that cause Optimus death. Back in the 80's, to me he was a cool robot. A heroic icon to the Autobot. But he was easily forgotten as fans still prefer the Autobot Commander, Optimus Prime
