DOTM Topspin

Photobucket

Dark of the Moon - When I was a kid, I use to have Topspin. I don't realize it until I watch the original mold and the advert on Youtube. I don't remember either I bought the original one or the KO version. Anyway, Topspin is very hard to find in Brunei and very sought off by collectors. He is one of the Wreckers in Dark of the Moon. The one that does not speak much like the rest. I bought this figure at Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Quite far right? To those who collect the DOTM The Wreckers, Topspin is a must. There is also a Human Alliance version. But I won't talk about that as I would love to review this deluxe version instead.

Bio

For AUTOBOT TOPSPIN it’s all about going fast and carrying lots of weapons. He, ROADBUSTER and LEADFOOT were master technicians on CYBERTRON. Over the years they perfected modifications to vehicles, armor and weaponry that rival anything the DECEPTICON scientists could ever hope to produce.

The vehicle mode is truly amazing. It is like a race car with steroids. It replicates the movie version pretty well. Although, it is painted really amazing. There are certain details that is left bland and unattractive. But I do love the mold on this deluxe version. Unique and something that came out from the PSone video game Twisted Metal.

First of all; I just want to share that the transformation process of Topspin is a real pain in the ass. I really hate Hasbro/Takara instruction manual. It is so confusing and pretty much a crap. Call me traditional or anything; I still prefer the line art compare to this. Anyway, it took me like 10 minute to figure out which part goes to which. But after I am done; I am glad to transform it because it is one of the best DOTM figure I ever seen compared to the rest. It blue colored body is a reference to the G1 Topspin. I never found out who Topspin really are because he only appeared in comic books. His original G1 mold was from the Diaclone series. Now Topspin looks like someone with a braided hair and a cool sunglasses. He got two claws as a hands. If he was red; he would look like Mr Crab from Spongebob Squarepants. But I do love the satellite weapon on both of his shoulder. His MechTech was not that interesting as I saw it was repaint on other figures over and over again. So not much of an interest there.

There is also another repaint color of Topspin and a Human Alliance Topspin. If you are a big fan of The Wreckers; then I would suggest to collect the Human Alliance Topspin and the rest of The Wreckers. But if you are on a tight budget; then I would recommend the deluxe version. But I do want to advice you that these Wreckers are selling like hot cakes. Unless you go to other countries instead of Brunei; then you will not have trouble acquiring them. It does took me some time to obtain him.

Generation Windblade

30 th Generation - Meet the official fan-made Transformers; Windblade. According to tfwiki.net ; she was officially revealed at the 2013 SDCC (San Diego Comic-Con) after running a few polls from fan. What I love about Windblade was she is the first Autobot female that I ever bought (Yes, I bought Airachnid from TFPrime). I think I forgot that I bought Arcee from TFPrime but sold it before I could ever review or displayed it (in this case, that does not count). Well, I really like her appearance and here is my review of her figure.

CW Powerglide

Combiner Wars - Finally a better looking Powerglide. I can't afford to buy the Classic 2.0 Powerglide; so this would be quite a nice value for your money. Basically, Powerglide is one of the G1 mini-bot (and how I wish that Beachcomber and Seaspray would be redesign). When Hasbro announce Powerglide as a legend class Combiner Wars figure; I was really excited. The new figure is the best looking Powerglide known and identical to his animation counterpart. And the best part; he transform himself into a powerful blaster for the combiners. Here is my review of him.

Construct Bots - Ironhide

Construct-Bots - This will be my first posting on Construct-Bots. I was curious on how Constuct-Bots mechanism work and how it differ from the already established Lego Bionicle/Hero Factory line and the normal Kre-O brick line. Hasbro stated that with Construct-Bots; you don't need to remove the parts to transform from one form to another. As an additional info; this Construct-Bots (CB) Ironhide is not my first CB. That would be Starscream and I will review it when the time comes. So here is my review of Ironhide.
