DOTM Darksteel

Photobucket

Dark of the Moon - Darksteel, an odd looking Decepticon. Either he is a snake or some sort of ancient mythical Egyptian god. Anyway, he is actually plan to be named as Quickstrike from the Beast War era but somehow he ended up using the name Darksteel. Honestly, I hate repaint but luckily, Darksteel has a different head sculpt and making him unique to me just like Dead End. He is a retool mold from DOTM Sideswipe and has a very nice and good quality paint job compared to Sideswipe.

Bio

DARKSTEEL is a traditionalist. As a student of the most respected DECEPTICON warrior on CYBERTRON, he learned there is no substitute for a razor-sharp blade and clever mind. Blasters and cannons get the job done, but may fail in the heat of battle. The blade never falters!

Not much to say but I am impressed with the color of Darksteel compared to DOTM Sideswipe. It is highly detailed and has more vibrant color than the dull colored DOTM Sideswipe. The livery green colored is an attribute to Quickstrike. Something that I really remembered fondly about the Beast War Transmetal era. I wonder if this character is still the redneck we know and love or hate.

Either he is ugly or a piece of art. Well, it depends on anyone opinion. To me, he is unique. His wings flap horizontally and differs from DOTM Sideswipe. His MechTech weapon mold were borrowed from DOTM Starscream weapon. But the way, you put the weapon is different. It looks like his Beast War counterpart with the claw and all that. His transformation is similar to Sideswipe; so it is quite easy for me. His paint job is awesome. Looks bit shiny and deadly alluring like a snake should be. So if you are a fan of Quickstrike or a fan of Stingray Concept repaint; then I suggest you should get Darksteel.

Generation Windblade

30 th Generation - Meet the official fan-made Transformers; Windblade. According to tfwiki.net ; she was officially revealed at the 2013 SDCC (San Diego Comic-Con) after running a few polls from fan. What I love about Windblade was she is the first Autobot female that I ever bought (Yes, I bought Airachnid from TFPrime). I think I forgot that I bought Arcee from TFPrime but sold it before I could ever review or displayed it (in this case, that does not count). Well, I really like her appearance and here is my review of her figure.

Expressive Art Convention Brunei - Gundam Exhibition

EACon Brunei - Honestly, I am not a big fan of Gundam. But I do love the creative things that some collectors are willing to do beyond the stock paint and decal. Some are very quite amazing compared to the normal stock version. The ability to customized a Gundam model (or GunPla) is beyond imagination and limitless compared to a Transformers figure. Well just look at the pictures and judge it by yourself (Pictures make take a while to load, so please be patient).

Expressive Art Convention Brunei - The Cosplay Artist

EACon Brunei - Cosplay, a rather interesting pop-culture that is now spreading like peanut butter on a sandwich. I am astound to found out that cosplay had become a sensation particularly for teenagers. Not just that, I also found out that most of them make a good effort by trying to match exactly as their anime or video game character counterpart. Well, just have a look and see what I mean.
