Generations - I think I am doing a lot of Autobot review than the con lately. Well, that will change in a week time if I have the time. Anyway, I will review this guy. Yeah, Wheelie. I really hate him in the movie. He gave me headache than Blurr. Wheelie is another Asian Exclusive and a repaint/remold of Autobot Jazz. So here is my review.
Bio
This 2-in-1 vehicle-to-robot Transformers deluxe action figure is ready to battle the DECEPTICON invaders. When the enemy tries to get away, convert your figure to sports car mode to chase them down. Who will win the battle for Earth? It's up to you! Though very young, and possibly suffering from some kind of processor damage from his extended time stranded and alone on an alien world, WHEELIE is a fierce warrior. His rhyming speech can sometimes annoy the other AUTOBOTS, but when push comes to shove, they appreciate his unerring aim. Convert your WHEELIE figure from robot to vehicle and back again as the battle rages! Figure has a blaster and speakers that deploy!
Vehicle Mode
Honestly; I really hate repaint. And this is the worst repaint. I guess Springer, Hot Spot and Swerve has better paint job than this guy. He still maintain that G1 livery except for that blue stripe. Anyway, I still prefer the legend class vehicle compared to this.
Robot Mode
If you read my previous posting on Special Ops Jazz; then it is basically the same mold. Except for the head and weapon. Instead of a gun; he has a slingshot that also can be use as a small puny gun. His head mold is identical to his G1 animation. At least this is the closest that you can get to the G1 characters if you are a G1 fanatics. And definitely not the pervert humping robot as depicted in M. Bay Transformers Revenge of The Fallen.
Conclusion
I am not a big fan of repaint or remold but I really can't pass on Wheelie due to his relation with the G1 and 1986 movie. But if you have the legend class Wheelie; than you can pass on this figure. He is too tall and all grown up. I prefer him to be the little kid and best friend to Grimlock (yes, Optimus was not the first person who rode Grimlock as depicted in the upcoming TF4 movie).
