30th Generation Hoist

20140518_093740

30th Generation - I have reviewed the legend class Hoist before (Click Here). Now after more than a year; Hasbro released the 30th Generation Hoist. It looks really amazing and I really love it very much. I won't say much but here is a review of Hoist

Bio

When an Autobot is seriously damaged in the field he goes to Autobot Ratchet, but for everyday aches and pains, Hoist is the most trusted guy around. There's no strut or spar Hoist can't fix, and no malady so baffling that he can't diagnose it. He supplements his vast knowledge with an easy bedside manner that makes him well liked by his fellow Autobots and universally acknowledged as the expert on everything from wrist rust to scraplets.

Vehicle Mode

I have reviewed Trailcutter before; so I won't bother to review the same thing as both have the same mold. The only differences was its color, livery and the hook mechanism (I really do not know what it is called). It looks is so faithful to the G1 Hoist.

Robot Mode

Although the similarity to the G1; the updated version has a lot of things missing such as those wings at his back. Fortunately, 3rd party companies has created an add-on that will make him looks like G1. Not much of a changes (you can refer to my post on Trailcutter); except that his hook mechanism can be transformed into a gun. He has a facemask and his headsculpt is so faithful to his G1.

Conclusion

Takara has also released another version of Hoist. It has a dark green and a blue visor compared to the Hasbro yellow visor and light green color. I am not very choosy on which version should I get but I do love the Hasbro version due to its IDW comic books that came with it. But if you have a lot of cash; I would suggest you to get both. But to me the Hasbro version is enough.

Conclusion

Generation Windblade

30 th Generation - Meet the official fan-made Transformers; Windblade. According to tfwiki.net ; she was officially revealed at the 2013 SDCC (San Diego Comic-Con) after running a few polls from fan. What I love about Windblade was she is the first Autobot female that I ever bought (Yes, I bought Airachnid from TFPrime). I think I forgot that I bought Arcee from TFPrime but sold it before I could ever review or displayed it (in this case, that does not count). Well, I really like her appearance and here is my review of her figure.

CW Powerglide

Combiner Wars - Finally a better looking Powerglide. I can't afford to buy the Classic 2.0 Powerglide; so this would be quite a nice value for your money. Basically, Powerglide is one of the G1 mini-bot (and how I wish that Beachcomber and Seaspray would be redesign). When Hasbro announce Powerglide as a legend class Combiner Wars figure; I was really excited. The new figure is the best looking Powerglide known and identical to his animation counterpart. And the best part; he transform himself into a powerful blaster for the combiners. Here is my review of him.

Expressive Art Convention Brunei - Gundam Exhibition

EACon Brunei - Honestly, I am not a big fan of Gundam. But I do love the creative things that some collectors are willing to do beyond the stock paint and decal. Some are very quite amazing compared to the normal stock version. The ability to customized a Gundam model (or GunPla) is beyond imagination and limitless compared to a Transformers figure. Well just look at the pictures and judge it by yourself (Pictures make take a while to load, so please be patient).
