Generation Hoist

Generation - Hoist was one of my favorite characters from the G1 cartoon. He is the kind of Autobot that will not let you down from time to time. Although he had issue sometime with his self esteem; he never failed to lend a helping hand to others particularly those who is in need. Then later Hasbro release Hoist as an Asia exclusive. A redeco of Trailcutter (G1 dejavu again?).

Bio

If Ratchet is the Autobots' chief surgeon, then Hoist is their family doctor. Everyone reports to Hoist for routine check-ups and maintenance, no exceptions! A jovial, friendly robot, the up-beat Hoist enjoys his job and it shows. He speaks with a cultured British-sounding accent and can usually be found playing "Dr. Watson" to his friend Grapple's troubled artist in his off-hours. (Sources: TFWiki).

Hoist was basically a redeco of Trailcutter. The only additional changes to him was the weapon and the color livery. But the good thing about him was the color and sticker still maintain the basic look of the original G1 Hoist. The one thing that I was disappointed was that it is does not have the towing mechanism (maybe due to the design limitation).

Don't worry about the transformation; it was easy like most legend class. He looks amazing particularly with the Autobot insignia on his chest. So much like the G1. But I do have to admit that Hasbro could add a few paint job here and there to make it look more amazing. Can't say much about him but he is a great addition if you are crazy about G1 characters figure. I would suggest to buy both Trailcutter and Hoist for your collection. If you already bought both of them then I would say lucky you.

CW Powerglide

Combiner Wars - Finally a better looking Powerglide. I can't afford to buy the Classic 2.0 Powerglide; so this would be quite a nice value for your money. Basically, Powerglide is one of the G1 mini-bot (and how I wish that Beachcomber and Seaspray would be redesign). When Hasbro announce Powerglide as a legend class Combiner Wars figure; I was really excited. The new figure is the best looking Powerglide known and identical to his animation counterpart. And the best part; he transform himself into a powerful blaster for the combiners. Here is my review of him.

AoE Evolution Pack - Optimus Prime

Age of Extinction - Sorry for the late update. Been busy with life and collecting some masterpiece along the way. This double pack caught my eyes because of the classic/henkei mold. I already have the AoE Evasion Optimus (but never did review it); so here is my chance to review it all at once.

CW Bombshell

Combiner Wars - It is a bug world out there. Anyway; this is the second Insecticon that I bought. We are missing the last legend wave (Megatron, Starscream, Gears, Skrapnel, Tailgate, Swerve and Cosmos). Either it arrived a few or none at all (and selling like hot cake). I can't complain much but at least the new Combiner Wars line release Bombshell (and yet to see upcoming Huffer, Blackjack and Warpath). Here is my review of this great and simple figure.
