30th Generations Orion Pax

30^th Generations - I never thought that in my mind that Orion Pax will have a new figure after the 2005 Japan exclusive. For those who does not know Orion Pax; then you better watch the G1 animation episodes again. I don't exactly remember the episode but it was when the Aerialbots were thrown back into time and met with him. In that episode; you will know who is responsible for Orion Pax and his revival to became the greatest Autobot leader of all time. Here is my review of Orion Pax.

Bio

Long before the burden of leadership was forced upon him, Orion Pax was a great thinker, an intellectual revolutionary. He spent his life plugged into a console, sorting, parsing, and filing historical data. As the world outside grew darker and more bleak, he saw hope for the future in his world's past. Vehicle Mode

He was a pickup truck and after death; he became a semi-cab. Why can't he be a tank or something? Anyway, he looks like a normal cybertronian pickup-truck (remember that Orion Pax was either a librarian or a freight operator). I don't really get the design well but it does look better than War for Cybertron Optimus vehicle mode.

Robot Mode

I love the transformation process on this figure. Particularly on the legs part where in vehicle mode it forms the front end. Anyway; his headsculpt is the most modern looking Orion Pax I have ever seen. So much better than his former G1 self. His chest showed his faith to his Autobot faction and it seems someday, the matrix of leadership (or creation whichever media you choose) will be held by him. He is packed with two weapons; a blaster and an axe (I really do not know why he need both). His color bare similarities to his future self. Even both of his wheel resembles the War of Cybertron Optimus Prime.

Conclusion

I have high respect for Orion Pax as his root was a humble one. From a former freight handler/librarian (there is so many canon article about his work) and became the greatest leader of the Autobot. So when Hasbro release the 30^th Generation of Orion Pax; I was happy to owned him. Who would not? You will never know or even love Optimus Prime without knowing his origin as Orion Pax.
