Bumblebee and Blazemaster

20140511_094719

Generation - Bumblebee will always have a better spot next to the Autobot leader Optimus. He always get the best treatment by Hasbro and appeared in almost every animation feature except for Beast Wars, RID and Unicron trilogies. I guess kids love Bumblebee too much. Me, myself is excited for the Masterpiece Bumblebee. For now; let us review the 30th Generation Legend Class Bumblebee.

Bio

Most Autobots are surprised by the partnership between Bumblebee and Blazemaster. Two warriors have never been less alike. Bumblebee prefers the discreet approach, while Blazemaster likes to be seen – especially by the enemy. It’s only when you watch them together in the field that the partnership makes sense. Because while one distracts the enemy, the other takes quiet aim.

This Autobot duo is just what you need to jump-start your Transformers adventures! Your Bumblebee figure is a recon warrior, and he converts easily from robot mode to sports car mode and back. But your Blazemaster figure is Bumblebee's powerful ally. He converts from robot to vehicle mode and back, and he also pops into weapon mode! Keep converting them both from one mode to another so their Decepticon enemies can't keep up!

Vehicle Mode

I'll skip Blazemaster vehicle mode. He looks like all the mini-con that ever appeared before, so I am going to focus on Bumblebee instead. Bumblebee looks modern and a hybrid of the War for Cybertron Bumblebee. It got that sporty looks compared to the old legend class version. The only thing that I really hate was the front grill. Felt like the vehicle mode copied from a Alpha Brera.

Robot Mode

I love the headsculpt. So similar to the animated and comic version. The transformation was a bit complex but not too complicated. I just love this new design. Looks like a hybrid Cybertronian Bumblebee. Unfortunately; he does not come with a weapon as Blazemaster was his partner and his targetmaster. The only turn off with this figure was the head were fix and cannot be rotate. Blazemaster was not that bad looking either. And when he become a weapon; my thought that he would be as heavy as Roller (see previous post), but I was wrong. He was light and Bumblebee has no problem handling it. The rotor blade can be attached to Bumblebee's hand.

Conclusion

I am not a big fan of Bumblebee. But this one is hard to pass. When I saw the Takara Tomy version; it looked so much better with the gold metallic paint. If you have enough cash; then I would suggest the Takara version. But if you want something simple; then this is enough since both are from the same mold.

CW Powerglide

Combiner Wars - Finally a better looking Powerglide. I can't afford to buy the Classic 2.0 Powerglide; so this would be quite a nice value for your money. Basically, Powerglide is one of the G1 mini-bot (and how I wish that Beachcomber and Seaspray would be redesign). When Hasbro announce Powerglide as a legend class Combiner Wars figure; I was really excited. The new figure is the best looking Powerglide known and identical to his animation counterpart. And the best part; he transform himself into a powerful blaster for the combiners. Here is my review of him.

AoE Evolution Pack - Optimus Prime

Age of Extinction - Sorry for the late update. Been busy with life and collecting some masterpiece along the way. This double pack caught my eyes because of the classic/henkei mold. I already have the AoE Evasion Optimus (but never did review it); so here is my chance to review it all at once.

30th Generation Hoist

30 th Generation - I have reviewed the legend class Hoist before ( Click Here ). Now after more than a year; Hasbro released the 30 th Generation Hoist. It looks really amazing and I really love it very much. I won't say much but here is a review of Hoist
